Dive trips for certified divers

At Gili Divers we are very fortunate as our boats are able to pull up directly outside our shop 30 meters away from the dive center. So no long walks to the boat! The dive sites around the Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno and Gili Air are very close. With our fast boats all the dive sites are within a 15-minute ride away. This allows us to return to Gili Divers between dives, where you can have a shower, relax on the beach in our beach restaurant La Cala Beach Club whilst deciding which dive site you would like to visit next.

Daily dive schedule

Our daily schedule offers multiple dive options:

9.00 am: Two boats depart for separate destinations, returning around 10.45 am.

11.30 am: Two boats leave and return around 1 pm.

2.30 pm: Two boats depart for separate destinations, returning around 4pm.

Others trips

Twice a week, we offer night dives departing at 6pm and returning around 8pm. Additionally, special night dive trips are available on demand for those interested in unique macro marine life experiences. Qualified divers can select 3 dives from 5 destinations daily, allowing for flexibility and variety in their underwater adventures.

Planning to get back in the water?

If it has been more than a year from your last dive or you just feel like refreshing your memory then the Scuba Review program is the way to go. During this half a day program you will refresh your knowledge on basic dive theory first and then do a refresher dive in the swimming pool. After a break you will get back in the open water by doing an afternoon dive. All 3 phases are done with one of our experienced divemasters. Once you have done your Scuba Review you can continue fun diving with us as much as you like. Scuba Reviews can be included in our dive packages.

What are your opening times?

We are open from 8.00 to 21.00 daily.

Where are you located ?

We are located on the east coast of the island of Gili Trawangan, between Lombok and Bali, in Indonesia.

What is the difference between PADI vs SSI?

As a dive center, we affiliate with SSI for its conservative standards, free insurance during courses, superior online theory, and flexibility in learning speed/abilities. Ultimately, certifications are recognised worldwide and you can dive or continue education with either agency.

Can I go diving if I've never dived before?

Absolutely! We offer introductory dive programs specifically designed for beginners with no prior diving experience. Our experienced instructors will guide you through every step of your first underwater adventure.

Do I need to book my dive in advance, or can I sign up on the day?

While walk-in bookings are welcome, we recommend booking dive excursions and courses in advance, especially during peak seasons, to secure your spot and ensure availability.

What payment methods do you accept for dive courses and fun dives?

You can pay via credit card with a 3% charge, transfer or cash in IDR. Payments can be made in advance for unlocking course materials.

Can I go scuba diving if I have a medical condition?

Yes, depending on the condition. Please find attached a copy of the medical, you will need clearance from a medical professional.

What are the age requirements for scuba diving?

Individuals must be at least 10 years old to participate in scuba diving courses. However, we also offer bubble maker programs in the swimming pool for children as young as 8 years old.

What languages are available for the course?

SSI e-learning is available in many languages. We also have Instructors available to teach in English, Spanish, French, German, Dutch, Swedish, Italian and Indonesian.

Can I do my Advanced course with SSI when I have a PADI Open Water?

Yes, no problem! You can mix agencies and dive with any center (PADI with SSI or vice versa).

⁠Are SSI certifications recognised all over the world?

Yes. It doesn't matter which organisation you are certified through, as long as you're certified. For continuing education, you can also switch between agencies.

Do I need to have any prior experience or certifications to go scuba diving?

For introductory dives or beginner courses, no prior experience or certifications are typically required. However, for more advanced dives, certifications such as Open Water Diver or equivalent may be necessary
